Conception of development of Russky Island is underway, a science town similar to Skolkovo is planned to be established, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Yury Trutnev, told reporters in Vladivostok.
“There is an idea to create such a science town, this is the mission, which is being undertaken now in Skolkovo only. The task is to focus here (on Russky Island) intellectual resources and create conditions for technological and innovation development of the country,” said Yury Trutnev.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, he will take part and control the work over elaboration of a Russky Island development conception.
He stressed that Russky Island was “a special territory”.
