Greenhouse complexes with an area of 9 hectares will be built in the next 5 years in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the Russian region located close to the Polar circle.
The facilities will are designed to develop all-season crop production in a climate of eternal frost.
The works at the construction sites of these unique greenhouse complexes situated in Gubkinsk, Salekhard, Muravlenko, Nadym, Noyabrsk and Novy Urengoi will be funded from the regional budget, the press office of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District’s administration told Construction.RU on Monday.
Apart from that, construction of large cattle-breeding facilities and mini-farms is scheduled to be completed in Novy Urengoi until 2020.
All these projects are to be implemented within the framework of the regional food security program. Over 2,6 billion roubles will be allocated for its implementation.
