International logistics center to be built in Moscow region for $169m

Coalco, a Russian company, and KTZExpress, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s Railways, intend to build “Central Dry Port” transport and discharge complex in the Moscow regional town of Domodedovo.




The facility will have the capacity of 400,000 TEU.

According to Kommersant newspaper, the investments into the project will reach $169 million. The parties signed an agreement on this project on the 5th of October.

The construction site of the logistics center handling containers passing along the “New Silk Road” (China – Kazakhstan – Europe) and Trans-Siberian corridor, will be situated on a 60 hectare plot of land at M-4 “Don” highway.

Container and transport terminals, warehouses of low-temperature and dry containers are planned to be built there.
