Italian companies, in particular Saipem, take interest in Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream projects, Russian Vice Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich said on Wednesday.
“There is an interest on the part of Italian partners. It is a known fact that Sapiem company participates in the relative procedures carried out by “Gazprom” regarding Nord Stream and Turkish Stream,” Arkady Dvorkovich said.
Saipem has already been engaged in the construction of the first two strings of Nord Stream. The Italian company was contracted to lay South Stream pipeline and then – Turkish Stream. When Russia suspended negotiations with Ankara on the intergovernmental agreement due to the political tensions between two countries, Gazprom annulled the contract with Saipem.
