According to the schedule, Russian spiritual center is to be opened in Paris on the 19th of October, a spokesman for Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters on Wednesday.
“We hope that cultural and spiritual centers will be opened as it was planned before. Surely, the Russian party will be represented at the highest level at an opening ceremony,” noted Dmitry Peskov. He said that Moscow expects that center to “start vigorous efforts from the very beginning of its operation”.
Meanwhile, on Monday it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin cancelled his visit to Paris planned to be on the 19th of October.
“The matter is that, according to the schedule, there should have been some events connected with opening of cultural and spiritual centers, as well as with an exhibition. Unfortunately, these events fell out of the program, that is why the President made a decision to cancel his visit to France,” said Peskov.
