Mercedes-Benz company will invest half a billion euro in establishing a plant producing engines in Poland. This investment project has been discussed in Warsaw by the head of the Polish Government, Beata Szydło, and the representative of the Board of Directors of the German automobile concern, Markus Schäfer.
“We will be a country producing modern engines. We are glad that this well-known company made a decision to invest in Poland. We would like that there will be more of such projects,” Beata Szydło said at a briefing following the meeting.
New plant producing engines for Mercedes will emerge in the town of Jawor located in southwestern Poland, near Wroclaw. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2019 and in 2020 the facility is planned to reach full production releasing several hundreds of thousands of engines per year.
