Hermann Tilke builds motor racing track for Formula One in Russia

Hermann Tilke, a German engineer and auto racer engaged in designing Formula One motor racing circuits, will prepare a project for construction of such object near the Russian city of Saint Petersburg.




The corresponding message was published on a social media page of SPB Racing Team on Tuesday. The track will be constructed on the territory located in the vicinity of “Igor” mountain ski resort. Its length will reach 4700 meters and it will have nine right-hand and eight left-hand turns.

The difference in elevation will amount to 20 meters, the width of the track will range from 12 to 15 meters.

We should remind you that it was Hermann Tilke who designed Formula One motor racing circuits in the Russian city of Sochi, in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Bahrein, China, Singapore, Spain and the USA.
