Within the framework of India Nuclear Energy 2016 international conference and exhibition in Mumbai, a ceremonial opening of Rosatom State Energy Corporation’s regional center in India was held, RusEnergy reports on Monday.
“Historically, India is among our key foreign partners: at present, two power units designed in Russia are successfully operating at Kudankulam NPP site, and two more power units are under construction. The decision to open a regional center in Mumbai was taken for the purpose to reinforce the State Corporation’s presence on the market. This will allow to pool together our efforts and enhance efficiency of enterprises from Russian nuclear industry in South Asia, as well as to offer other nuclear non-energy products on Indian market,” pointed out the regional president of Rosatom South Asia, Alexey Pimenov.
The center’s mission will include consolidation of Rosatom’s current position on the South Asian market, as well as a search for new opportunities for business development.
