Largest in total revenue Russian Internet retailer Wildberries bought out 25 hectares in the Moscow region to build its distribution center with an area of 135,000 square meters, Kommersant reports on Friday.

The land plot purchased from M2-Podolsk LLC is located within “Koledino” industrial park in the Podolsky district of the Moscow region.

“Amount of investments into this project might exceed 3,5 billion roubles for the company. Nevertheless, it’s 15% cheaper to build the proper object than to purchase an existing one,” says the article.

Wildberries has been operating since 2004 and focuses on online sales of clothes, shoes, household products, books and electronics. The founder of the company is a former English teacher Tatyana Bakalchuk.
