Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking on Tuesday at a forum of All-Russia People’s Front in Moscow, announced his intention to assign to the government to prepare a decree on enlisting urban forests in cadastral register.
“This will be set out in the corresponding documents and in my instruction to the government. It’s necessary to ensure that these forests are enlisted in the state cadastral register”, the President said, answering a question of one of the Fund’s activists.
Apart from that, Vladimir Putin supported a proposal to assign an urban parks’ category to these forests. The President stressed that that would allow to protect them immediately and more efficiently.
