Sokol training center located in Moscow will be reconstructed by the World Cup 2018 into a referee base, reads the statement released by Moscow Committee for Construction Investment Projects and Co-Funding Construction.




A corresponding project was approved by the Moscow Urban Construction and Land Commission. The base is located at the address of Yelizavetinsky By-Street, building 3A.

Sokol stadium was built in 1938. At present, there are two football fields with artificial covering at the stadium, as well as a small football field and a volleyball court.

A total area of the facility amounts to 1106 square meters.

The first world football championship held on the territory of Russia will take place from the 14th of June to 15th of July 2018.
