In October, sales of new buildings in the USA dropped by 1,9% to a four-months low and amounted to 563,000 houses in the annual quantities, the data provided by the U.S. Department of Trade and Commerce shows.
However, according to the revised information, in September, the figure was 574,000 houses, what means an increase by 1.2%, not 593,000 ones, as it was reported earlier.
Experts predicted a 0.3% rise in sales in October based on the previous assessment – up to 595,000 buildings, MarketWatch says.
Last months, housing sales surged by 17.8%, compared to October 2015. Between January and October, the figure was 12.6% higher, than it was in a similar period last year.
An average price of a house totaled $304,500, compared to $298,700 in 2015.
