Investments in “Bryansk” Airport reconstruction, scheduled to be conducted between the years of 2017 and 2018, are planned to amount approximately 5 billion rubles ($77 million), the Bryansk region’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz, said at a press conference on Monday.
The governor specified that the project would be financed from the federal budget within the targeted program entitled: “Modernization of the Unified System of Air Traffic Management in the Russian Federation (2009 – 2020).”
“Bryansk Airport is an international one, but it can not accept big aircrafts. Modernization implies replacement of the airport’s equipment, including the system of navigation, construction of a new air terminal building, warehouses and cargo terminal,” said Alexander Bogomaz.
