The Board of Directors of Naftogaz, a Ukrainian state-owned oil and gas company, didn’t give a permission to Ukrtransgaz, which operates the country’s system of trunk natural gas pipelines and underground natural gas depots, to purchase equipment for reconstruction of compressor stations.
The matter concerns “Ananyev”, “Zadneprovskaya” and “Yuzhnobugskaya” compressor stations. As the company’s press office announced today, earlier, over 4 billion hrn. (about $154 million) has been allocated to its modernization. Then as now, following the progress in Turkish Stream project realization, that measure is considered to be unreasonable.
We should remind you that construction of Turkish Stream is scheduled to be completed late in 2019.
