Atkins, a British multinational engineering, architectural design and project management company, will establish its office in Azerbaijan, The Global Construction Review reports on Wednesday.
These measures have been taken with the purpose to render support to the activities of oil and gas operators, the company’s key clients, in this country, as well as in Georgia and Turkey.
The UK’s company is particularly interested in assets in and around the Caspian Sea.
According to the representative of Atkins’ office in the capital city of Azerbaijan, James Todd, Baku is considered by the company as “the gateway to the Caspian Sea”. Thus, the presence of Atkins in the region will open new opportunities both in Azerbaijan and in the Central Asian region.
