The authorities of the Chuvashia, Russia, are planning to launch construction of the Republic’s first planetarium in 2017, the press-service of the regional administration reports on Monday.
The facility will be located in Cheboksary, the capital city of the Chuvash Republic. The issue of the planetarium construction was discussed on Monday at the planning meeting, which was held by the Chairman of the Republican Cabinet of Ministers, Ivan Motorin.
“Prime Minister Ivan Motorin instructed to complete the design documentation until mid-January and to consider the allocation of funds for construction of a planetarium in 2017,” the statement reads.
The planetarium in Cheboksary will be a multi-purpose complex, which will include an interactive museum, cinema and lecturers’ rooms, as well as star halls, club rooms, cafes, etc.
According to preliminary estimates, its construction will cost 300 million rubles.
