A project of a nuclear power plant construction in the United Kingdom will receive financing from the Japanese government and Hitachi company, which joint package is estimated £6.79 billion, International Business Times reports on Thursday.




Within the framework of the project, two nuclear power reactors are planned to be built and run at Wylfa Newydd site located on the Welsh coast. Earlier, the UK government awarded the contract to Horizon Nuclear Power, a British energy company owned by Hitachi.

According to Reuters’ source, this project would be financed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, a public financial institution and state-owned Development Bank of Japan.
