Construction of the “Central” airport complex located near the Russian city of Saratov is planned to be completed before the end of 2018, while its commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of 2019.
This decision was voiced at a meeting held on Monday in Moscow, in the Russian Parliament, which was attended by the Transport Minister of Russia, Maxim Sokolov, and the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko, the Saratov regional Governor, Valery Radayev, as well as by the investor’s representatives from Renova Group of Companies.
“Today we are moving forward, both in terms of federal and regional parts (of the program, - editor’s note). The lag was on the part of the investor building the airport complex. All that concerns the infrastructure, the region fulfills its obligations,” the Saratov regional Governor, Valery Radayev, said.
