The Moscow Parliament has received two applications for the installation of a monument to the late leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro in the Russian capital city, Chairman of these legislative body, Alexey Shaposhnikov, told reporters at a press conference.
Alexey Shaposhnikov indicated that one letter was received from the head of the district council of Severnoye Medvedkovo with the proposal to mount a monument in honor of Fidel Castro in the area, as well as to name after him a projected passage.
“Just on Friday we received another letter from the Cuban Friendship Society, where they also initiate the installation of a monument to Fidel Castro and offer to hold a meeting after the New Year, in order to discuss the place of installation,” said Shaposhnikov.
