Implementation of the “Pure Land” project for construction of five waste incineration plants in the Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan, in Russia, will improve the environmental situation in the region and provide new sources of electricity, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said at session of Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development.




“Project "Pure land" will allow to create in Russia an effective model for the processing of hard communal waste and simultaneously to form a new industry, which will help to clear the city from garbage, but will also provide significant additional amounts of electricity and create more jobs… And most importantly, environmental living conditions for millions of people will improve,” he said.

“Within the program, a pilot project for the construction of five facilities for heat treatment of such wastes will be launched. Four of them are in Moscow region and one in Tatarstan,” Russian PM added.
