Building a cross-border cable way from the Russian city Blagoveshchensk to the Chinese city of Heihe across the Amur River will start in April 2017.
This is what RIA Novosti news agency reported on Wednesday with reference to the Governor of the Amur region, Alexander Kozlov. According to him, at present, design planning of a cable way is in full swing. The object will provide year-round and out-of-season service between the two countries.
In the future, this will be the world’s only cable way with a passport and visa control. Its carrying capacity reaches 2.5 million people per year. It will take the passengers no kore than 6 minutes to pass 768 meters from Blagoveshchensk to Heihe by means of a cable car.
