On Tuesday, Basmanny Court of Moscow extended home arrest of Russia’s former Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev until the 15th of April 2017, TASS correspondent reports from a courtroom.




We should remind you that Alexei Ulyukayev is charged with receiving a $2 million bribe in the office of Rosneft oil company.

“the Court ruled to uphold a motion brought by investigators and to extend a period of Ulyukayev’s home arrest for three months, that is until the 15th of April,” judge Elena Lenskaya announced the court’s decision.

Earlier, the ex-Minister asked the court to release him on pledge not to leave country and stressed that he disagreed with the arguments of investigators.
