A modern Russian-Chinese University in Shenzhen, a major city in Guangdong Province, China, will open its doors for students in September, 2017.
The Chinese party is constructing its building on the pattern of the Lomonosov Moscow State University founded in the year 1755.
“According to our agreement with the Chinese leadership, we open a joint university in Shenzhen. The Chinese party wants to construct a building resembling the Moscow State University. The foundation stone has been laid, the license received and stidies will start in September,” Viktor Sadovnichyi, rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He stressed that it would be the first joint university in the history of relations between the two countries.
