Rosenergoatom invests $274m in building Kursk NPP this year

In the year 2017, Rosenergoatom, a Russian company currently operating 10 nuclear power plants with 33 reactors, will allocate 16,5 billion rubles ($274 million) in the construction of the second Kursk nuclear power plant, TASS news agency reports on Thursday.




“Some 16 billion and 488 million rubles are provided for 2017 for the execution of all kinds of activities related to the construction of Kursk-2 NPP. At the same time, the main part of this sum will be allocated to acquisition of equipment of prolonged manufacturing cycle, to be precise, the reactor unit and turbine room equipment,” the message released by the company reads.
The priority task set for 2017 implies ensuring the construction site availability for the main phase of the construction.
