Rosgeologia, a Russian state-owned company focusing on industry-specific tasks in the geological sector, is holding negotiations on conducting seismic exploration works and drilling operations in the shelf area of Iran, the company's director general, Roman Panov, told reporters on Wednesday.
The representative of Rosgeologia specified that the works are planned to be carried out jointly with a local partner. The contract is expected to be signed by the end of the year 2017, after what the exploration works will be launched.
“The negotiations are quite intensive, we have a partner in Iran, with whom we are conducting these activities. We expect to go ahead with the scope of worl as early as this year,” noted the head of the holding.
