In accordance with the agreement reached with U.S. President Donald Trump, Chairman and chief executive of Foxconn, the world's largest contract electronics maker, Terry Gou, announced the company’s intentions to set an enterprise in the USA, Reuters reports.

Investments will total over $7 billion. The matter concerns the construction of an enterprise releasing TV displays jointly with Japanese Corporation Sharp.

Terry Gou specified that Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, had been considering that perspective for a long time, however, the issue was settled following a meeting of Masayoshi Son, the head of SoftBank, with Donald Trump in December.

“There is such a plan, but it is not a promise. It is a wish,” stressed Gou.
