Lenta, one of Russia’s largest retail chains its second largest hypermarket chain, purchase simultaneously eight plots of land for construction of new hypermarkets in the Russian city of Novosibirsk located in Siberia.




According to the company’s report for the IV quarter of the year 2016, published on Thursday, the first store is planned to be put in operation as early as the first half of the year 2017.

The federal retailer has already signed an agreement on the purchase of eight plots of land in Novosibirsk to arrange construction sites there.

At present, Lenta operates 190 hypermarkets in 77 cities of the countries and 50 stores in Moscow, St Petersburg and the Central District of the Russian Federation.
