The “Koltsovo” airport in the Siberian city of Yekaterinburg will be completely reconstructed by December, 2017, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Konstantin Makhov, told journalists. The work on the reconstruction is carried out within the preparation for the Foorbal World Championship-2018.




The airport is actually ready to take on a great number of passengers. The second take-off runway will be put in operation in August, then the first runway will be reconstructed, Makhov added.

To remind you, the first in the Russian history football world championship is to take place from June 14 until July 15, 2018 in 11 Russian cities: Moscow, Kaliningrad, Saint-Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
