Foreigners designed 40% premium new buildings in Moscow last year

Foreign architects took part in designing of 40% of premium new buildings in Moscow, which had been put in operation in 2016, Colliers International consulting company told RIA Novosti on Monday.




Most of design and architect bureau operating in Russia are from Holland, Germany and Austria. According to the company’s data, their share in a common pool of foreign architect companies running premium-class projects emerged on the market last year accounts for approximately 70%.

American bureaus account for 7% and the rest 23% are the companies from other European countries and Canada.

Approximately half of foreign architects are invited without a tender, on the basis of the market surveys, recommendations and results of cooperation in the previous projects.
