As it became known on Wednesday, the Russian Investigative Committee (the SKR) detained the former Vice Prime Minister of the Crimean Republic on bribery suspicion.
The ex-official is accused of receiving a part of a bribe from a businessman in exchange for assistance in obtaining the contract for the construction of housing.
The regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the former Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers, investigators told Interfax news agency on Wednesday.
“He is suspected of receiving a bribe through an intermediary in especially large amount,” the press-service of the Investigative Committee told Interfax without specifying the name of the ex-official.
Meanwhile, the agency’s source in law-enforcement agencies told Interfax that the matter concerned Oleg Kozurin.
