Construction of 10 more hotels of international brands to be completed in Moscow in 2018, according to Deputy Head of Hotel Facilities Directorate of the Tourism and Sports Department of the capital city of Russia, Alexey Yakovlev, who appeared at a press conference on Friday.
Yakovlev explained that at the end of the last year, 870 hotels with 58,000 rooms have been qualified in Moscow.
There are 27 five-star facilities, 74 four-star and 180 three-star ones, as well as 447 non-star hotels for budget-oriented tourists. This allows Moscow to compete with any other city in the world.
Hotel occupancy in 2016 amounted to an average of 70%.
