In December 2016, the level of oil production in Russia amounted 10,49 million barrels per day, what is 25,000 barrels per day more than in Saudi Arabia in the similar period of time, as it follows from the data of Joint Organization Data Initiative (JODI).
Namely, oil production in Saudi Arabia amounted to 10,46 million barrels per day.
According to JODI, oil production rate in Russia surpassed that of Saudi Arabia for the first time since March 2016. At that time, Russia produced 10,68 million barrels per day, while Saudi Arabia’s rate amounted to 10,224 million barrels per day.
At the same time, oil production in Russia dropped by 29,000 barrels, compared with November.
