Six boundary Turkish regions are already protected by a section of a concrete wall with the length of 511 kilometers, according to the statement released by the Turkey’s Department for housing construction development.
The wall consists of concrete blocks with the weight of seven tons each. The height of the wall amounts to three meters, the depth is 30 centimeters. A one-meter barbed wire is stretched above the wall.
It was reported that, apart from the wall, 260 kilometers of new roads have been built in a frontier zone, as well as eight-meter towers under construction there. Military hardware and alarm systems are planned to be installed on these towers.
