On Wednesday, the winner of Pritzker Prize became known and for the first time in the award’s history that it was granted to three people at once. These are Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vialta, the partners in RCR Arquitectes, a company headquartered in Spain's Catalonia region, the Local reports.

Their project involves modern materials like recycled steel and plastic. The architects managed to embrace all kinds of spaces, including private and public ones, cultural venues and educational institutions. All of them are highly peculiar in terms of environment.

It is also noteworthy that the Prize winners aren’t any celebrities, on the contrary, they are quite unknown architects. Aranda, Pigem and Vialta have been working in the town of Olot, situated in Catalonia.
