Turkey increases import of Russian gas by 16,6%

In January – February 2017, Turkey has increased its imports of gas from Russia by 16.6 per cent, the press office of Gazprom, a Russian oil giant says on Thursday.




“At the end of two months in 2017, the import of Russian gas to Turkey has increased by 16.6% in comparison with January – February in 2016”, the message reads.

The holding corporation notes that the import of Russian gas to Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Austria has also increased by 21.5, 29.9, 27.7 and 91,4% respectively.

Nevertheless, as Rambler News agency notes, Gazprom mentions only percentage ratio of the results, without elaborating on actual volumes of supplies.
