U.S. Congress approved Pentagon’s budget estimate, which, in particular, imposes a ban on the agency’s cooperation with JSC Rosoboronexport, the Russia’s sole state corporation for exports and imports of defense-related products and technologies.

The document, valid before the end of September 2017, provides for the allocation of $578 billion for military purpose. A total of 371 Congressmen voted in favour of the budget estimate, while 48 members of Congress were against.

According to the document, none of these funds may not be used by the Minister of Defense to sign contracts with JSC Rosoboronexport. It states that the restriction shall apply as long as the Russian corporation does not stop “supplies of lethal military equipment to the government of Syria. Another condition is that Russian Armed Forces should leave the Crimea.
