AccorHotels, a French hotel operator, will set up a joint venture with Rixos Hotels, a Turkish chain, which they will own on a parity basis, Vedomosti newspaper reports.
AccorHotels will integrate in its network 15 resort Rixos hotels in Turkey, UAE, Egypt and Europe, including Mrya Resort & Spa in the Crimea and Rixos Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, the newspaper says.
In addition, AccorHotels will also operate and carry out rebranding of five hotels located in the centers of large cities. Later, three Rixos hotels under construction in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Maldives will be transferred to AccorHotels.
Rixos hotels in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have not been included in the deal.
