LafargeHolcim, the world’s largest manufacturer of building materials, is willing to sell cement to the USA for the purpose of building a wall on the border with Mexico, Le Figaro reports.
The project for the wall construction was initiated by the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“We are ready to supply our building materials for all types of infrastructure projects in the United States,” the newspaper cites the head of LafargeHolcim, Eric Olsen.
At the same time, he stressed that the company “is not a political organization.” According to Olsen, the goal of LafargeHolcim as a leader in sales of cement in the United States is to “meet the demands of customers.”
The project is estimated at approximately $10-25 billion.
We should remind you that earlier LafargeHolcim’s competitor, the Irish CRH, announced that it did not intend to participate in the project involving the construction of a wall for protection against the influx of illegal migrants.
