According to a study titled “Assessing business environment in Russia by foreign business”, conducted jointly by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (the RSPP) and FleishmanHillard Vanguard, the number of respondents who indicate positive dynamics of a business climate in Russia, has increased almost fourfold and accounted to 23% in 2016 (compared to 6% in 2015).
Annually, RSPP conducts a research assessing a business climate in the country. Since 2011, it includes a section with the assessment of business environment in Russia by foreign investors actively operating in the country. This section is prepared by an agency FleishmanHillard Vanguard, one of the leading consultants in the field of strategic communications in Russia.
“The dataset shows that, despite temporary difficulties and obstacles due to economic and socio-political factors, foreign business keeps optimistic about Russian market and is ready to invest and operate in it under the terms of certain stability and predictability of the external factors’ influence. Positive mood was reflected not only in higher estimates of Russian infrastructure, but also in continuing implementation of social projects carried out by foreign investors, both independently and jointly with the authorities.” Alexander Shokhin, President RSPP, said.
