An exhibition dedicated to the revolution in architecture and design in Russia after the October revolution of 1917 started on Tuesday at the London Design Museum.
“Imagine Moscow: Architecture, Propaganda, Revolution” has become another London exhibition to mark the centenary of the great October Socialist revolution.
“What struck me when I took up this topic, it's an astonishing freshness of ideas, manifested in architectural and design projects of the time. We chose a period of the 1920s and 1930s, because it was in that period of time that had the most interesting and innovative ideas, most of which have never been realized, but the effect of which is still being felt”, — the exhibition curator, Ester Stierhoff, told RIA Novosti.
