Rosatom intends to take part in project for Sirik TPP construction in Iran

An enterprise affiliated with Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, JSC ZiO-Podolsk, which is based in the Moscow region of Russia, is willing to participate in the project for construction of Sirik thermal power plant located in the Hormozgan Province, Iran.




In particular, the matter concerns the supplies of sets of oil and gas fired steam boilers, as it follows from the documentation published on the procurement website of Rosatom, RIA Novosti reports.

In mid-December 2016, the Russian company Tekhnopromexport and the holding company for the electricity production at thermal power plants of Iran signed an agreement about construction of Sirik TPP in South of Iran. The document envisages financing on the part of Russia in amount of 1.2 billion euro. Capacity of the thermal power plant will amount to 1.4 GW.
