In October 2017, the construction of a modern waste incineration plant will be launched in Kazan, the capital city of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.

As Construction.RU was told by the press office of the regional government of Tatarstan, the enterprise will be located in the area of 5 hectares in Samosyrovo, in the vicinity of “Vostochny” landfill.

The facility is planned to be put in operation in the first half of 2021. It is designed to recycle 550 tons of waste per year and produce 55 MW of electricity.

RT-invest, a subsidiary of Rostec, a Russian state corporation established to promote development and production of hi-tech industrial products, is the project’s investor. The company will put up about $20 billion in the plant construction.
