This year, the Russian region of Ryazan will allocate 2.7 billion roubles ($47 million) for the repair and maintenance of roads, the acting Governor of the region, Nikolay Lyubimov, told RIA Novosti.

“In 2017, it is planned to allocate around 1.2 billion roubles for road maintenance, 1.5 billion rubles — for the capital repair of roads, which will allow for repair of 130 kilometers of roads,” — Lyubimov explained.

He added that more than 200 million roubles would be allocated to the municipalities to clean up the streets of the regional centres and towns.

“Another task is to inform the population about the repair of roads. People should know what and where is planned to be repaired, what technology is used,” he stressed.
