The interdepartmental commission for location of production capacities in the the Leningrad region, Russia, agreed on a development project of a transit terminal in the port of Primorsk.
Investment in the project, which will be implemented in three phases till 2026, is estimated at 76.8 billion roubles ($1,3 billion), the press office of the administration of the Leningrad region informs on Thursday.
The investor is the Primorsky Multipurpose Transhipping Complex. It is assumed that a large transfer terminal will be built on the area of 270 hectares, kilometer and a half from the port of Primorsk. The facility will be able to receive and dispatch up to 15.6 million tons of cargo per year.
