Paratroopers from the 106th division of Russian airborne troops arrived in the Belarussian southwestern city of Brest to participate in joint Belarus-Russia tactical exercise with air-borne infiltration, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
“The main phase of the exercise will be held at Brest military range, on the basis of a separate air assault brigade of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus in the period from the 11th to 13th of April,” — the Ministry’s statement reads.
During the drills, paratroopers of Russia and Belarus will hold a landing in an unfamiliar area, and then will work out joint actions to block and eliminate of hypothetical sabotage-reconnaissance groups of an aggressor.
