The head of the Crimean Republic, Sergey Aksyonov, promised legal support to manufacturers, whose products had been seized in the Italian city of Verona.
Mr. Aksyonov described the seizure of production displayed by the Crimean manufacturers at the international wine exhibition in Italy as “rudeness and stupidity,” Life.ru reports on Tuesday.
He also added that the manufacturers, whose products had been seized, would be provided with the necessary legal support.
“I hope common sense will prevail over emotions. I don't know what justified such a decision, but, in my opinion, it is an absolute nonsense”, the head of the region concluded.
As it became known earlier, the exhibition organizers asked the Crimean participants to remove their products, after a letter of complaint submitted by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine. As a result, all bottles of wine with the inscription “Crimea” were confiscated.
