On Tuesday, a Russian group of companies Sumotori based in the city of Artyom established a joint company with Japanese Arai Shoji to produce electric vehicles.
As Construction.RU was told by the regional administration, in spring of 2018, Prometheus joint enterprise will embark on the construction of a plant for the electric vehicles production in the Primorye territory.
The new company has also filed an application to obtain resident status in “Nadezhda” advanced development territory, where the electric vehicles’ plant will be located. A land plot with an area of 3 hectares has been allotted for that purpose.
At present, a business plan and design are being developed. Construction is scheduled to be launched next year, when infrastructure of the advanced development territory is prepared.
