The authorities of Yakutia, a Russian Republic located in the Far East, intend to build a mill processing salt for its further use at oil wells drilling in Arctic.
The facility is planned to be established in the Republic’s largest salt deposit – Kempendyaiskoye.
As the first deputy head of the Suntarsky district, Nikolai Alexandrov told TASS news agency today, salt has been extracted there since the year 1935. At present, some 3,000 tons are extracted and supplied for the needs of an agricultural sector and diamond mining industry.
Construction activities at a site of the new factory for oil industry and its equipment will cost 100 million rubles.
