Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev, RIA Novosti reports on Monday with the reference to the Kremlin’s press service.
By the same decree, Evgeny Kuyvashev was appointed an acting head of the region.
“In connection with the statement of Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev on early termination of powers... I hereby resolve: to accept a resignation of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev on his own accord. To appoint Evgeny Vladimirovich Kuyvashev as an acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region until the entry into office of a person elected the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region”, — the decree reads.
It is noted that the decree comes into force since the 17th of April from the date of its signing.
