American scientists have discovered an engineering solution that would allow to relieve future explorers and colonizers of Mars from the necessity to bring to this planet building blocks and elements to create space bases.
Experts from Northwestern University in Illinois suggested to use a method of three-dimensional printing and quite a non-standard material, Space.com reports.
According to Ramille Shah, an associate Professor in the Department of materials science and engineering at northwestern University, on other planets or their satellites people will have to use what they will be able to find there in order to survive. At that, 3D printing technology really provides an opportunity to create functional and construction facilities for the arrangement of habitats beyond the Earth.
